You're not alone if you're unfamiliar with Chromosome 2q37 Deletion Syndrome. Spreading awareness is crucial to foster understanding and support for those affected.

Recently, I had a meaningful conversation with a customer who shared their journey with this rare syndrome. The customer had purchased our "In March We Wear Orange Developmental Disabilities Awareness Shirt." During our conversation, I learned that her purchase was driven by her family's direct experience with 2q37 deletion syndrome. Until that moment, I had never heard of 2q37.

Our dialogue quickly shifted from a consumer and seller interaction to two moms with a shared investment in their children. Her story resonated deeply, prompting me to further educate myself and advocate for the cause. She highlighted the scarcity of content and t-shirts supporting this syndrome. That conversation stayed with me, reinforcing the mission of Differently Gifted.

We remained connected, and she later sent me pictures of her child proudly wearing the shirt, which sparked awareness and conversations about Developmental Disabilities Month. Her child's school joined in, wearing orange to support the kids and build awareness.

Inspired by this, we created a t-shirt design dedicated to raising awareness for 2q37 and shared information about Chromosome 2q37 Deletion Syndrome on our social media.

This is why Differently Gifted is so important. We will continue to help spread awareness and create a curated collection of products that not only bring awareness but also allow everyone to express who they are.
